The President blamed the Biden administration for granting the murderer Temporary Protected Status

Donald Trump has shared a horrific video of an illegal migrant beating a woman to death with a hammer in Florida.

The President warned “if you import the third world, you become the third world” and said the violent incident was a result of former President Joe Biden “allowing tens of millions of criminals, lunatics, and the mentally insane” into the US.

The Deportment of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (Ice) helped Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD) haul in Rolbert Joachin, a Haitian illegal migrant.

FMPD responded to an emergency at a local petrol station, where CCTV footage showed him smashing the woman’s car windshield with his hammer, DHS said.

When the woman – reportedly a store clerk – came out of the shop, he approached her and then repeatedly hit her in the head with the hammer.

Joachin was located by FMPD with the assistance of Ice on Mango Street in Fort Myers, Florida, and was subsequently charged with first-degree murder.

The Haitian illegal migrant first entered into the US in August 2022 and released into the country under the Biden administration, the DHS said.

The Biden administration granted him a Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which expired in 2024, the department added.

A witness told police he saw a man holding a mallet and a knife striking a black SUV.

Meanwhile, a police report said the woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

Mr Trump said Mr Biden was the “worst President in history”, blaming him for the death on social media.

He said: “This animal was allowed to stay here because the Biden administration granted him, and all Haitians, ‘Temporary Protective Status,’ a massively abused and fraudulent program which my administration is working to terminate, but deranged liberal district court judges are standing in our way.

“This one killing should be enough for these radical judges to stop impeding my administration’s immigration policies, and allow us to END THIS SCAM ONCE AND FOR ALL.”

On Wednesday, US district judge Brian Murphy, who was appointed by Joe Biden, blocked a move by the Trump administration to end TPS for 5,000 Ethiopians.

TPS under federal law is available for people whose home countries are deemed to have experienced natural disasters or armed conflicts.

The DHS said in December that Ethiopia “no longer met the conditions” for TPS designation and protections would expire on February 13.

But Mr Murphy ruled the Trump administration had terminated the status “without regard for the process delineated by Congress”.

The district judge said: “Fundamental to this case – and indeed to our constitutional system – is the principle that the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress.”

He said “armed conflict and natural disasters continue to create dangerous conditions” in Ethiopia.

DHS in a statement on Wednesday said: “This stay by radical, Biden-appointed Judge Brian Murphy is just the latest example of judicial activists trying to prevent President Trump from restoring integrity to America’s legal immigration system.

“Temporary means temporary. Country conditions—including armed conflicts—in Ethiopia have improved to the point that it no longer meets the law’s requirement for Temporary Protected Status. The Trump administration is putting Americans first.”

Addressing the Florida attack, the Acting Assistant Secretary for DHS, Lauren Bis, said: “This heinous murderer was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration. Not only did the Biden administration release him into the country, but they then gave him Temporary Protected Status.

“Their reckless immigration policies cost this woman her life.

“The arrest of this criminal is an example of how Ice and local authorities can work together to swiftly bring criminals to justice and make our communities safer.”

Ice has placed an immigration detainer on Joachin, and DHS said he will be deported regardless of the outcome of the case.
