Why is there a rumor about Barry Weiss marrying Brandi Passante?

The rumor about Weiss and Passante getting married stemmed from an A&E YouTube clip titled Storage Wars: Barry and Brandi Tie the Knot. However, the “tie the knot” reference had nothing to do with walking down the aisle. Rather, the clip literally featured the two learning how to tie a tie knot.

The video was from Season 14, Episode 12, of Storage Wars, which aired in December 2021. It was one of the clips A&E pulled out to promote the episode online.

In the footage, Weiss unearthed a suitcase full of old ties in a storage unit. He and Passante brought them to his “tie guy” for an estimate on how much money he could get for them. While they were visiting the formalwear shop, the “tie guy” gave them a lesson in tying different kind of tie knots.
