One minute she’s the adorable daughter caught in the explosive Corinthos family wars… the next, she’s stepping into sparkly pink heels as Young Glinda, stealing the spotlight in Hollywood’s most anticipated musical sequel. Little Donna Corinthos just went from soap opera sweetheart to Wicked sensation — and the magic is only beginning.
1. The Tiny Star Who Conquered Two Worlds In the cutthroat universe of General Hospital, Scarlett Spears has melted hearts for years as Donna Corinthos — Sonny and Carly’s bright-eyed little girl, forever caught in the crossfire of mob threats, custody battles, and endless family betrayals. But behind those innocent dimples and scene-stealing charm hides a rising force with massive ambition. Now, at just eight years old, Scarlett has pulled off the kind of leap most adult actors only dream about: landing the coveted role of Young Glinda in Wicked: For Good, the glittering sequel that has the entire entertainment world buzzing.
2. A Dream Role That Sparked Tears and Jealousy When Scarlett learned she would play the younger version of Ariana Grande’s iconic Glinda the Good, the emotion hit her like a tidal wave — she burst into happy tears, whispering that “God listens to me.” Sharing the screen with Ariana Grande, one of her biggest idols since childhood, turned the experience into pure magic. The first trailer glimpses have already sent fans into a frenzy, showing a fresh-faced Young Glinda full of sparkle, innocence, and that unmistakable future-Good Witch energy. For GH viewers, it feels almost surreal: the same little girl who just yesterday was baking cookies with “Daddy” Sonny is now commanding one of cinema’s biggest stages.
3. What This Means for Donna… and the Future of Port Charles This breakout moment isn’t just a personal triumph — it’s a seismic shift. While Scarlett balances her GH commitments with Hollywood’s brightest lights, the question burning on every fan’s mind is how long Port Charles can keep its beloved Donna. Will the producers write around her rising stardom, or are darker storylines ahead that could temporarily sideline the character? One thing is certain: Scarlett Spears is no longer just “Sonny’s daughter.” She’s a bona fide star in the making, proving that even in the drama-soaked streets of Port Charles, real-life fairy tales can still happen.
The Wicked trailer has already given us a taste — now the whole world is waiting to see just how brightly this young Glinda will shine. And GH fans? They’re torn between pride and the fear that their favorite little Corinthos might fly off to Oz for good.
