Did ’The Curse of Oak Island’s Alex Lagina & Miriam Amirault Get Married? Romance Rumors Explained

Alex Lagina is the son of The Curse of Oak Island star Marty Lagina, and has been featured on the show, as well as the spinoff The Curse of Civil War Gold, over the years.

In 2020, archaeologist Miriam Amirault joined the show during Season 8. She returned in Season 10 in 2022 but has not been on the show since. However, during Amirault’s stint on the treasure-hunting series, there were rumors that she and Lagina were romantically involved.

Scroll down for a breakdown of the rumors and the truth about their relationship.

Did Alex Lagina and Miriam Amirault get married?

Despite internet rumors that speculated Lagina and Amirault were tying the knot, there was never a wedding for the pair. Although the two have never commented on the romance rumors, it does not appear that they were ever a romantic item. Rather, they worked together as professional colleagues.

Who is Alex Lagina’s wife?

Lagina married his wife, Katherine Sneed, in February 2024. The two are very private about their relationship, but photos from their wedding surfaced on Reddit via a Curse of Oak Island fan. One of their wedding attendees also shared photos on Instagram, which she captioned, “Got to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. Lagina all weekend 🥹🤍.”

Sneed is from Michigan and works as a senior corporate communications specialist, per LinkedIn. She has been employed by Hagerty, an “automotive enthusiast brand and global membership organization for car lovers,” since 2017. Prior to starting her professional career, she attended the University of Miami, graduating in 2016 with a degree in design and visual communications.

Lagina and Sneed are both private on Instagram.

What is Miriam Amirault doing now?

Amirault does not have public social media, so it’s unclear what she’s been up to since her time on Oak Island. She likely has continued her work as a professional archaeologist.

Amirault, who is from Canada, studied archaeology at University of New Brunswick in Nova Scotia, Canada.
