The wait is nearly over for The Curse of Oak Island fans, with Season 14 preparing to bring Rick and Marty Lagina back to Nova Scotia for another major chapter in the search for answers beneath the island.
The new season is expected to premiere in November 2026 on the HISTORY Channel, putting the Lagina brothers and their team back at the center of one of television’s longest-running treasure investigations.
And this time, the biggest question is not simply whether they will find treasure.
It is whether the clues collected over the past several seasons are finally beginning to form a clearer picture.
Season 13 ended with the team still focused heavily on the Money Pit area, where drilling, underground testing and historical research continued to point toward structures and anomalies that remain difficult to explain. That work is expected to continue in Season 14, with deeper excavation and more targeted investigation likely to play a major role.
Rick and Marty Lagina are once again expected to lead the search, supported by familiar members of the Oak Island team.

Gary Drayton remains one of the most important figures when it comes to surface finds and metal-detecting discoveries, while Craig Tester continues to bring technical experience to the operation. Alex Lagina and Jack Begley are also expected to remain involved as the investigation moves between excavation sites, research locations and laboratory analysis.
The returning cast is important because Season 14 appears likely to build directly on unresolved leads rather than completely resetting the search.
One of the biggest areas of interest remains the Money Pit.
Over the years, the team has uncovered wood, metal, unusual underground voids and trace evidence that have repeatedly suggested human activity beneath the surface. While none of those finds has yet provided definitive proof of a legendary treasure chamber, the pattern has kept the Money Pit at the heart of the investigation.

Season 14 could therefore see the team push harder into zones that previously produced promising readings.
Another major storyline involves the historical evidence discovered away from the Money Pit.
Lot 5, the swamp and other sections of Oak Island have produced coins, artifacts, stone features and construction evidence that appear to predate much of the island’s documented modern history. Those discoveries have increasingly encouraged the team to look at Oak Island not as one isolated treasure site, but as part of a much larger historical mystery.
That broader approach may become even more important this season.
Recent investigations have repeatedly explored possible connections to European explorers, military groups, religious orders and early transatlantic activity. Some of those theories remain highly speculative, but the growing number of artifacts from different periods has given the team new directions to investigate.

The swamp is another location likely to remain under scrutiny.
Previous seasons uncovered stone roads, timber structures and unusual terrain features that suggested the area may once have been deliberately modified. If Season 14 returns there with new equipment or expanded excavation, it could provide more evidence about how different areas of the island are connected.

Fans should also expect laboratory work to continue playing a major role.
The modern Oak Island investigation now relies heavily on XRF testing, dating techniques, geological analysis and artifact examination. Small finds that once might have been overlooked can now become major leads if their composition or age points toward a specific historical period.

That combination of excavation and science has gradually changed the tone of the series.
The search is no longer only about finding a chest.
It is increasingly about reconstructing who came to Oak Island, when they arrived and what they may have been doing there.
That is what makes Season 14 particularly intriguing.
After years of drilling, digging and historical research, the team has accumulated more evidence than ever before — but also more unanswered questions.

With Rick and Marty Lagina returning, familiar investigators back in the field and several major sites still unresolved, the new season has plenty of material to work with.
The treasure may still be hidden.
But the real breakthrough in Season 14 could be discovering how all the pieces finally fit together.
